Oklahoma State Cowboys’ Phil Forte Will Have A Big Season

Oklahoma State Cowboys

The Oklahoma State Cowboys will be one of the best teams in the country in the 2013-14 college basketball season. A big reason for that is the return of Marcus Smart, but this team is much deeper than one player. Phil Forte is another great player on Oklahoma State and he will have a big year in the upcoming season.

Forte managed to average 10.2 points per game last season. He shot 37 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from behind the arc. Forte also led the team in three-pointers made (68).

Opposing defenses will without a doubt focus on Smart, but Markel Brown and Le’Bryan Nash will also get a lot of attention. Both players averaged 14 or more points per game last season.

Whether the case, Forte will be playing in his sophomore season and he has the chance to be really good. Forte is very lethal from behind the arc. He is going to get a lot of looks from deep range in the upcoming season and he should easily make more than 68 threes.

Forte is not the best player on the team, but his three-point shooting ability will be very important to the Cowboys. Every great team needs a good three-point shooter and that is exactly what the Cowboys have in Forte.

He was solid in his first season with the team, but he could be even better in the upcoming one.

Oklahoma State will easily have one of the best backcourts in college hoops and Forte will play a very important role in that.
