Ole Miss Rebels’ Toughest Non-Conference Schedule Game

Ole Miss Rebels

The Ole Miss Rebels will not be challenged a whole lot in their non-conference schedule in the upcoming season, but let’s take a look at their toughest game regardless, which will be played against the Oregon Ducks.

Oregon is most likely the Rebels’ toughest contest, but it is important to note that they will also take on the Kansas State Wildcats.

Oregon is losing some talent to say the least, but will rely on incoming players, such as UNLV transfer Mike Moser. Moser was great two seasons ago, but the same thing cannot be said about him last year. Whether the case, Moser should return back to form in the 2013-14 college basketball season and he very well could be one of the best players in the Pac-12.

If that is in fact the case, then the Ducks should be better than expected.

The game against Oregon will be played on Dec. 8 and I am sure every Ole Miss Rebel fan is hoping that Marshall Henderson is back on the team for that one. He is currently suspended. Who knows when he will actually return, but the Rebels desperately need him on the court.

Henderson averaged 20.1 points per game last season and is one of the best scorers in college hoops. However, he is currently in the dog house.

Oregon could be a top 25 team in the 2013-14 season and it could not be. It all depends if the returning players can step up and if the incoming ones can have an instant impact, which is the same case with a lot of teams. Still, the Ducks should be a good team and Ole Miss simply does not have that tough of an out-of-conference schedule.
