Jabari Parker Dazzles in Exhibition Action For Duke Blue Devils

Jabari Parker put on a show for the Cameron Crazies. In the Duke Blue Devils first scrimmage game, Parker had a monster outing with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Parker displayed his variety of offensive skills.

He was nailing jumpers from mid range and beyond the arc. He was driving and dishing. Finally, he had a baseline dunk that had the entire crowd in awe. This was just a taste of what Blue Devils fans are in store for with this ultra talented freshman.

Parker is one of the top-two talents coming out of high school along with phenom Andrew Wiggins. He is certainly the most talented player the Blue Devils have had in quite a long time. While he may be a one and done with the caliber of player he is, the Blue Devil faithful should cherish the time they have witnessing Parker’s potential greatness.

Parker is well on his way to being a top draft pick in next year’s stacked NBA draft class. He has every skill imaginable. He actually reminds me very much of Carmelo Anthony in his silky smooth jump shot and crafty way around the basket.

Certainly lofty comparisons but one I believe Parker can live up to and even succeed. Some franchise will be getting a heck of a basketball player next June.

The date many college basketball fans have circled on their calender is November 12th. This is the night that Parker and the Blue Devils take on Wiggins and the Kansas Jay Hawks. The two top high school athletes in the country going at it. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Until then, we will continue to marvel at Parker’s greatness.
