Most Intriguing Matchup For the Kansas Jayhawks
We won’t have to wait too long to see it. Andrew Wiggins and the rest of the Jayhawks will take on the Duke Blue Devils on Nov. 12. Storylines flood that game.
Andrew Wiggins vs. Jabari Parker.
Kansas vs. Duke.
Bill Self vs. Mike Krzyzewski.
Two top 10 teams battling it out in the month of November.
The list goes on and on, but this contest will be getting a bunch of hype entering the season–already has.
Duke is the No. 4 ranked team in the USA Today Coaches Poll and Kansas is ranked No. 6. The winner of this game will have some serious bragging rights. Plus, Wiggins is getting so much hype it is ridiculous. Parker is getting a lot of hype as well. He is the No. 2 ranked recruit in the class of 2013 and all. I am sure you know by now, but Wiggins is the No. 1 ranked recruit in the 2013 class.
Both Kansas and Duke will have the talent to win a national championship this season, which is basically the case every year. Both will have to prove their worth early on, though.
The Jayhawks are losing their entire starting five from last year’s team and the Blue Devils are losing their top three leading scorers. As you can see, both teams will look much different from last season.
Still, Kansas will likely be the favorite to win a Big 12 title and it could have the best player in the country on its team. Wiggins will have one of his biggest tests right off of the bat. Regardless, the game against Duke will be the most intriguing matchup of the season for Kansas.
