The Florida State Seminoles will play two top 15 teams in November. It does not help that they finished with an overall record of 18-16 last season and could be just as bad in the 2013-14 college basketball season.

The Seminoles will take on the VCU Rams Nov. 21 and the Florida Gators on Nov. 29. They could play another tough team in between those two games since they will be playing in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

The Rams are ranked as high as No. 14 and the Gators are ranked as high as No. 8.

Treveon Graham and Juvonte Reddic could be the best duo in the nation. I do not care if VCU technically plays in a mid-major conference. Those two players are amazing. Both averaged near 15 points per game last season. This could be head coach Shaka Smart’s best team yet, so there is that as well.

Florida will look a lot different, but Billy Donovan has turned this program into an elite basketball team. This year will be no different, but Florida will enter the season shorthanded. Suspensions, injuries and one player being ineligible all play a factor in that. The Gators will be good enough to win a national title when they are at full strength.

Florida State will be lucky to finish with a winning record. However, I am sure it will. The Seminoles lose leading scorer Michael Snaer and are probably still wishing Andrew Wiggins would have joined the team.

The Seminoles will have their hands full against Florida and VCU, but an upset in either matchup would be huge.
