Kentucky Wildcats’ Julius Randle Could Be the Best Player In College Hoops
Kentucky has played basically two tuneup games, but Randle’s numbers have been amazing, especially for a freshman. Randle scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds against UNC-Asheville and then followed that up by dropping 22 points and 14 rebounds against Northern Kentucky.
Two games and he already has two double-doubles.
The competition is going to get much tougher in game three, though. Randle and the rest of the Wildcats will have to take on the Michigan State Spartans next. It could be the toughest test of the season. The Spartans are a very talented and experienced team, while many players on the Wildcats have only played two games.
It is going to be interesting to see if Randle can drop a double-double for a third straight game and to an opponent as tough as Michigan State. My guess is that he will have no problem achieving that feat.
It is time to see if Randle and the Kentucky Wildcats are the real deal. It is not going to get much tougher than Michigan State. This is a much different team than last year’s Wildcats and Kentucky can really prove that with a victory over the No. 2 team in the nation.
