Could the Oregon Ducks Be the Best Team In the Pac-12?

The Oregon Ducks lost their fair share of talent over the offseason, but that has not fazed them one bit so far. The Ducks are currently undefeated at 9-0 and they could be the best team in the Pac-12.

Arizona is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation, so I am sure many people would disagree with that. Still, Oregon has managed to beat every team it has played, which includes victories over Georgetown, Ole Miss and Illinois. This team still has not beaten a ranked opponent, but that is because it has not played one.

The Ducks will most likely have their first opportunity to knock off a ranked team when they play Colorado on Jan. 5.

Beating the best teams in college hoops or not, the transfer players have been phenomenal. Joseph Young and Mike Moser are leading the way. Young is putting up 19.4 points per game and Moser is averaging 14.9 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game.

This may be a completely different looking team from last year, but it is better in my book.

The Wildcats will enter conference play as the team to beat, but Oregon is not too far behind them. It has a couple of quality wins on the season, but is still searching for that marquee win, which will probably happen many times during Pac-12 play.

No matter how you look at it, Oregon is winning games and it is putting up some high numbers in the process. The team is averaging 89.1 points per game, which is the second most in the country.

We will have to wait for Pac-12 play to begin before we can see who truly is the best team in the conference, but don’t be surprised when it is the Ducks.
