Syracuse Orange Will Beat the Villanova Wildcats

Syracuse Orange

The Syracuse Orange and the Villanova Wildcats will meet up on Dec. 28 in what will be a game between the battle of unbeatens. However, Syracuse is going to win that contest.

Villanova has been one of the biggest surprises to start off the 2013-14 college basketball season. It has already beaten Kansas, Iowa and La Salle.

The Orange have some pretty good wins as well. Syracuse has already beaten Minnesota, California, Indiana, Baylor and St. John’s. With that said, this team has one of the best resumes in college hoops. A win against the Wildcats would make it that much better.

C.J. Fair has been great so far. He is averaging 18.1 points per game and is easily one of the best scorers in the country. Fair has managed to put up that many points against some tough competition. Fair has had plenty of help, though, as three other players are averaging 12 or more points per game.

The play of point guard Tyler Ennis has been amazing and he has filled the shoes of Michael Carter-Williams very nicely.

Syracuse will be at home in this contest, which is huge. That alone will give the Orange the advantage in this one.

The Wildcats are a very talented team, so I am sure this will be a great contest no matter who wins. Whether the case, this game will be played against two teams ranked in the top 10–winner will have some serious bragging rights. I am going with the Orange in this one, though. Fair is just too good and he is not the only weapon on the team. Plus, Ennis is one of the best field generals in the nation.

Both teams will have one tuneup game before this showdown.
