Michigan State Spartans On Upset Alert Against Texas Longhorns

Michigan State Spartans

The Michigan State Spartans are easily one of the most talented teams in the country–currently ranked No. 5–but they will still be on upset alert against the Texas Longhorns.

Texas is 10-1 on the season and deserves to be ranked after knocking off the North Carolina Tar Heels. Texas’ only loss came against BYU, 86-82.

I am sure no one gave the Longhorns a chance to win a Big 12 title this year, but that may change after the fast start that they have had.

Still, Michigan State has a very experienced team and is ranked No. 5 for a reason. It is interesting to note that the Spartans’ only loss came against North Carolina, though.

I am sure Texas has all of the confidence in the world now that it has beaten the same team that beat Michigan State. It helps that it will be playing at home. Plus, the Spartans have been battling injuries.

Michigan State is still going to be the favorite coming into this game. It already has wins over Kentucky and Oklahoma. A win against Texas would make the resume look that much better.

Texas can get back into the national spotlight by beating the Spartans. Beating North Carolina and Michigan State would be quite the feat and it really is not out of the question for this Longhorns team.

Michigan State is one of the favorites to not only win a Big Ten title, but also take home a national championship. Regardless, it will be on upset alert against Texas on Dec. 21.
