Kentucky Wildcats Have to Beat the Louisville Cardinals

The Kentucky Wildcats have a very, very talented team. We said the same thing last year, though. These Wildcats already have three losses on the season and seem to be following in the same footsteps as last year’s team, but I still think they are different. With that said, Kentucky has to beat the Louisville Cardinals on Dec. 28.

That is easier said than done, especially since Louisville is the defending national champs and could earn a No. 1 seed in the upcoming dance.

Kentucky has played three ranked teams this year and it has lost all three games. It played all three contests very tough, but no one cares about that. This is a team that was apparently supposed to go 40-0. The sad thing is the fact that there is no guarantee that it will make the dance.

Regardless, beating Louisville would mean so much for the Wildcats. They would finally beat their first marquee opponent of the season, they would be back in the national spotlight, they would be considered national title contenders again and they would probably enter SEC play as the team to beat.

A loss would have a lot of people doubting John Calipari‘s team, though.

Missouri is currently undefeated and Florida looks like a top five team. The Wildcats do not want to enter conference play as the third best team.

However, I am going to say that Kentucky beats Louisville and gets back on track in a very, very big way. It is not going to be easy, but the Wildcats will have the fans on their side and they are riding a one-game winning streak, so at least there is that.
