Will the Wichita State Shockers Go Undefeated?
The Wichita State Shockers made a run to the Final Four last year and they are still just as hot 11 games into the 2013-14 college basketball season. Will they go undefeated, though.
It is so hard to go undefeated in this day and age in college hoops, but if anyone is going to do it, why not the Shockers? They have been red hot since last year’s dance and they already passed all of their tests in their non-conference schedule. Sure, Wichita State has not beaten a single ranked opponent, but that is not what is at question here.
I still think teams like Indiana State will challenge for the title, but the Shockers are by far the best team on paper. Conference play is a lot tougher, though, and teams usually play each other twice, which means they are more prepared and all of that fun stuff.
I think someone will end up upsetting Wichita State in MVC play, but I am not sure who. It is not like upsets are the easiest things in the world to call. If they were, they probably wouldn’t be called upsets and March Madness wouldn’t be filled with madness.
Wichita State has the talent to go undefeated, but I am going to say that it will lose two times before the Big Dance. Would it surprise me if they went undefeated? No. Not at all.
Undefeated season or not, let’s just sit back and watch the Shockers do work.
