Jabari Parker is garnering most of the attention on the Duke Blue Devils, but he is clearly not the only talented player on the team. There is also that one player named Rodney Hood (among others). Well, Hood and Parker are the best scoring duo in college hoops.

Parker is averaging 22.1 points per game and Hood is averaging 18.5 points per game. May I remind you that Duke has had a very tough non-conference schedule.

The Blue Devils have already played Kansas, Alabama, Arizona, Michigan and UCLA. I am not sure if these two player’s numbers will go down once conference play begins, but they both are very, very talented and are the best scoring duo in the country.

Parker arguably has the best offensive game. That is kind of hard to argue when he stands at 6-foot-8 and can literally do anything. For instance, he is shooting 47.5 percent from behind the arc. Parker manages to put up very solid numbers and he plays with some of the most talented players in college basketball.

Hood also stands at 6-foot-8 and he can shoot the three-ball as well. He is shooting 43.9 percent from behind the arc.

Guarding a 6-foot-8 player is never an easy thing to do in college hoops and Duke has two players that fit that description. If the Blue Devils only had Parker, I am sure he would be putting up near 25 points per game. The same thing can probably be said if they only had Hood.

Players like Doug McDermott can make a case for the best scorer, but Hood and Parker play on the same team and they both average over 18 points per game.

Regardless, Parker and Hood are the best scoring duo and it may not even be a close race.
