Looking At the Arizona Wildcats’ Resume So Far

You could say that the Arizona Wildcats have gotten off to a pretty good start in the 2013-14 college basketball season. With that in mind, let’s take a look at their resume.

Well, the Wildcats are undefeated at 13-0. This should not be a surprise to anyone, as Arizona has two player of the year candidates on its team and plenty of talent beyond that.

This team has already beaten a few good opponents, which includes San Diego State, Duke, UNLV, New Mexico State and Michigan. No win has been bigger than the one over the Blue Devils.

Duke looks like a top five team right now, which says a lot about the Wildcats. Plus, the Wolverines are expected to compete for a national title this year.

Regardless, Arizona has arguably been the best team so far and that perfect record proves it.

I doubt this team will run the tables, but it still should finish with a great record and should have a shot at earning a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. For that to happen, though, the Wildcats will need to win the Pac-12. They entered the season as the favorites in the conference, but a couple of teams have emerged as some of the best in the country.

That is where Oregon and Colorado come in. The Buffaloes only have two losses–both to ranked opponents–and the Ducks are still undefeated.

Winning the conference title or not, Arizona has a very impressive resume so far and it has been challenged plenty of times to say the least.
