The Syracuse Orange are undefeated and are ranked No. 2 in college hoops. However, what is the No. 1 item on their Christmas list?
Other than running the tables and winning a national championship–which should be the No. 1 wish on every team’s list–beating the Villanova Wildcats is the No. 1 thing on their Christmas list.
Villanova is also undefeated and ranked in the top 10.
In case if you have already forgotten, these two teams played in the Big East last year–Wildcats still do. They had some pretty good matchups over the years and I am sure the one on Dec. 28 will bring some Christmas joy to everyone (aka an exciting game to watch).
If Syracuse does beat the Wildcats, it will have a serious case for being the top team in the nation. Plus, it will have won its biggest game of the season and will have a bunch of momentum entering ACC play.
The Orange are easily one of the favorites to take home the ACC title this year, but they are still new to the conference. You know, since they haven’t played a single conference game yet. That will change on Jan. 4, when they take on the Miami Hurricanes.
The Villanova vs. Syracuse matchup could be one of the best games of the entire season. That is how good both teams have been. Both teams bringing undefeated records to the table definitely helps as well.
The Orange will be the favorites–by many–to come away with the victory, but this should still be the No. 1 item on their Christmas list. Hopefully Santa is good to them this year.
