The Colorado Buffaloes will take on the Oregon Ducks on Jan. 5, but they cannot fall victim to the Oregon State Beavers the game before.

Oregon and Colorado are both ranked in the top 25, so you could say that this game will be a very exciting matchup to watch. Not to mention, both teams are talented enough to come away with the Pac-12 title. I am sure Arizona would have something different to say about that.

The Buffaloes may have two losses on the year, but both came against ranked opponents. They have only beaten one ranked team, but that was against Kansas, who has one of the most talented lineups in college hoops.

The Ducks are still undefeated and Colorado will be looking to hand them their first loss of the season. As a result, it will play a trap game against Oregon State to tip-off conference play.

The Beavers may have a 7-4 record, but they are not the worst team in the nation by any means. In fact, they have already beaten the Maryland Terrapins.

Oregon State has Roberto Nelson on its team, who is one of the highest scorers in the nation. He is averaging 21.6 points per game and should keep that production up in conference play.

The matchup against Oregon is a lot more intriguing than the one against Oregon State, but Colorado cannot take any of its opponents lightly in the Pac-12 this year. That is exactly how teams get upset in this amazing game I like to call college basketball.
