UNLV Rebels Have No Quality Wins

The UNLV Rebels lost some of their most talented players over the offseason and it has really shown so far. The Rebels have no quality wins and could be on the outside looking in when it comes to the NCAA tournament.

UNLV has been challenged this season, it just can’t seem to win a big game. The Rebels have played Arizona State, Illinois and Arizona. As I am sure you could have guessed, they lost all three of those games. None will be looked at as a bad loss, but the same thing cannot be said about the loss against UC Santa Barbara.

The team is on a six-game winning streak, so hopefully they can bring some of that momentum into conference play. The MWC lost a bunch of talent, but there are a few teams in the conference who are talented enough to make the dance. San Diego State, New Mexico, Boise State and UNLV are some of those teams. Who knows if all of them will actually make the NCAA tourney, though.

One thing is for sure and that is the fact that the Rebels have to beat the top dogs in the conference–teams featured above. Failing to do so will definitely result in this team missing out on the Big Dance.

As it stands, only San Diego State is ranked in the conference, which doesn’t bode well for the UNLV, who is still searching for that marquee victory.

You could easily say that this has not been the best season in school history or anything like that.
