An Easier Start to the Schedule Will Have the Florida Gators On Top of the SEC

The Florida Gators had a semi-shaky start, losing two games in their first eight. Things have gotten much better since then and the Gators look like the best team entering SEC play. Not to mention, it helps that they have an easier start to their conference schedule, which will have them on top of the SEC.

Florida will play its first four games against South Carolina, Arkansas, Georgia and Auburn. The Razorbacks have a very solid record and look like they may be contenders in the SEC, but Florida is much more talented and it has the wins to prove it.

The Gators have already beaten two top 25 teams. Arkansas has beaten zero top 25 teams.

Even with an easier start, Florida would have more than likely had a great start. This is the best team in the SEC and all. With that said, Kentucky finally beat a ranked opponent and it seems to be coming along.

Billy Donovan‘s team will not take on the Wildcats until February, though.

After the first four conference games of the season, it should get tougher for this team. Florida will take on Alabama and Tennessee in back-to-back games after the first four SEC matchups.

Florida is going to be the favorite to win every single game it plays in the SEC this year. The only possible exceptions will be against Missouri (on the road) and Kentucky.

This is a very, very good team that has Final Four written all over it. The crazy thing is the fact that five-star recruit Chris Walker has not even played a single minute. That will change very soon.
