Baylor Bears Will Finish In Top 3 of Big 12 Standings

The Big 12 Conference was supposed to be down in the 2013-14 college basketball season, but that has been far from the case. Four teams in the conference are currently ranked and a couple of other teams could find their way in the top 25 at some point in the season. Needless to say, the Big 12 is not having a down year whatsoever. With that said, the Baylor Bears are one of the best teams in the country and they will finish in the top three of the Big 12 standings.

The Bears currently have four players averaging 10 or more points per game and eight players who are averaging six or more points per game. This team definitely comes at their opponents with a balanced attack and a number of different players can go off at any given time.

This team only has one loss on the year and it came against Syracuse. You could say that the loss to the Orange was not a bad one since they are ranked No. 2 in the country. Plus, the Bears only lost by seven.

Their biggest wins on the season have come against Colorado and Kentucky, although a victory against Dayton should not be overlooked.

Baylor has already been challenged quite a bit, but it is going to have a very tough test right off of the bat in conference play when it takes on the Iowa State Cyclones. Iowa State is currently undefeated and as I am sure you could have guessed, ranked as well.

This matchup may be early in the season, but it is a very important one for both teams. Beating ranked opponents is always big, especially when it comes to seeding the NCAA tournament teams.

Win or lose that game, Baylor has a very talented team and it is going to finish in the top three of the Big 12 standings.
