Gonzaga Puts On Amazing Shooting Exhibition In Win Over Pacific

Gonzaga Bulldogs

The Gonzaga Bulldogs weren’t messing around on Saturday night when they took on the Pacific Tigers. On the game, the Bulldogs made an insane 27-of-39 shots from the field, including 10-of-13 from 3-point range in an 86-64 drubbing of the Tigers. They would have scored well over 100 points if they didn’t shoot 22-of-39 from the free throw line.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve to an impressive 14-2, including a 4-0 record in the West Coast Conference while the Tigers fall to 9-5 and 0-3 in the WCC.

The Bulldogs have one of the most interesting, fun offensive schemes to watch in all of college basketball. They are also an extremely balanced team. Led by star Kevin Pangos who had 16 points, five rebounds and five assists, they shot lights-out from the field. In fact, the starting lineup went 20-of-25 shooting, or 80 percent from the field on the game. That’s just unheard of at this level of the game.

This team can and will beat anyone if they shoot like this on a nightly basis. They have the leadership from Pangos and his supporting cast to make a run in March. I think they will easily win the WCC, with their only remaining challenge coming at Memphis on February 8. They square off against Portland in their next game on Thursday at 11:00 p.m. ET.
