Florida State Seminoles: A Win Against Duke Would Go A Long Way

The Florida State Seminoles are more than likely a bubble team as of right now. Luckily for them, they will take on the Duke Blue Devils next and a win in that game would go a long way.

Duke may be ranked outside of the top 10, but it is still one of the most talented team in the ACC. Jabari Parker and Rodney Hood are still on the team, so that discussion ends there.

Florida State has a couple of quality wins already. It has beaten, VCU and Massachusetts. Both teams were ranked at the time. The Seminoles have also beaten Maryland, Clemson and Notre Dame in conference play. Beating one of the top teams in the conference will be a must if this team plans on making the dance.

With that said, the Seminoles only play Duke, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and North Carolina one time each. They have to win at least one of those game and even that may not be enough. It just depends how the other ACC teams finish and how well Florida State plays against the less talented teams in the conference.

The matchup against Duke is going to be played at Cameron Indoor, so an upset would mean that much more.

The Seminoles definitely have it in them. As stated earlier, they have already beaten two ranked opponents and it is important to know that they only lost to Florida by one and to Michigan by two (overtime).

The Blue Devils have now won three games in a row and are starting to look like national title contenders once again. Regardless, Florida State has been one of the most surprising teams in college hoops so far. Making the dance is not out of the question and upsetting Duke would be huge.
