Texas Christian is the only non-competitive team in the Big 12 Conference. They rank around 300th in every statistical basketball category. In a conference that has nine potential postseason team, someone has to be the punching bag. TCU is the punching bag of the Big 12. The Horned Frogs pulled a big upset at home last season over Kansas. They did not play particularly well in that contest, but they forced Kansas to shoot very poorly. The Texas Longhorns came to town Tuesday night after winning four-straight games against the top-25 opponents. The Longhorns are one of the hottest teams in the country playing the biggest dud in the conference. This game had all the makings of the trap.

TCU held the Longhorns to 20 points in the first half, but would inevitably fall 59-54. The Horned Frogs had their chances to pull off the upset, but Texas earned their second and third opportunities on the glass. The Longhorns had 25 offensive rebounds. The Horned Frogs had 25 total rebounds. The Longhorns were an impressive +31 in the rebounding category. TCU forced bad shots, but were unable rebound the basketball.

Texas center Cameron Ridley displayed his clutch gene by going 4-for-4 from the charity stripe to put the game on ice. Ridley has been the most improved player in the Big 12 and one of the biggest improvement has been at the free-throw line. He was 33 percent from the free-throw line, and has nearly doubled that shooting 60 percent this year. Texas remains a game behind Kansas while TCU remains winless in conference play.
