Jeff Orr is now a household name. Unfortunately, a low-life college basketball fan became famous on Saturday night as the Texas Tech Red Raiders die-hard will now be the talk of the town for at least the next week or so. For those of you who haven’t seen the video; here’s Oklahoma State Cowboys point guard Marcus Smart reacting to a fan, who apparently had some choice words for Smart right after Saturday’s nail-biter:

From that clip you really can’t see the type of person Orr really is, yet a quick Google search will inform you Orr’s lack of class. Furthermore, that bit of information no longer holds any water. The bottom of the line is that Smart crossed the line by going into the stands and pushing a fan of the opposing team. Heck, no NBA general manager in his right mind wants to draft the next Ron Artest and/or Metta World Peace.

Did that spineless Texas Tech fan deserve a nice push? Possibly. But at the end of the day Orr’s 15 minutes of fame will soon fade, which will leave us to talk about Smart’s “immaturity issues” and “thug-like behaviors” for months on end. Hopefully this one moment of frustration doesn’t cloud Smart’s success college career, yet I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if NBA teams decide to take a pass on someone with this kind of blow-up in their past.
