As we gear up for the NCAA tournament, I wanted to hit you all with a list of the five best dunking college basketball teams. We looked at the whole team, but obviously individual talent can help to tip the scales in any direction. Selection Sunday is coming soon, and March Madness cannot start soon enough for me.
Jabari Parker and Rodney Hood are a pretty good start, but the rest of the Blue Devils can dunk the ball as well. Their latest win against the Tar Heels was huge for their momentum, and they should be a number one seed if they can win the ACC tournament this week.
Head coach Billy Donovan's squad had an amazing run of SEC basketball this season, and their dunking had a bit to do with that. They will definitely be a number one seed, that is, once the madness starts.
Having a player like Julius Randle to throw the ball to definitely helps their case. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, they also have the best freshman recruiting class in the country and were the preseason number one ranked team. They recently slipped out of the top 25, but I would be surprised to not see them in the tournament bracket.
This one should not really need an explanation; you knew they were going to be on here and that is because of Aaron Gordon. He has been a human highlight reel this season, and if you have missed his play this season then you are missing out.
Seven words: Andrew Wiggins, Wayne Selden, and Joel Embiid. These guys are all going in the lottery, and their ability to play above the rim is a huge part of that. Watch the Jayhawks this March, because no one can handle their talent when everything is clicking.
