Record: 30-4

Region: No. 1 in the West, No. 2 overall seed in the Tournament

RPI: 1

BPI: 1

Conference: Pac-12 Conference

How They Qualified: At-Large Berth

The Arizona Wildcats lost one of their best players for the season in Brandon Ashley. They clearly still have the talent to win some games and then some in the 2014 NCAA tournament. The Wildcats did win the Pac-12 title and all.

Ashley being out for the season or not, Nick Johnson and Aaron Gordon are two of the best players in the country.

Arizona may not always blow teams away with its offense, but it’s that defense that should have other teams worried.

What You Need to Know:

Leading Scorer: Nick Johnson (16.1 ppg)

Leading Rebounder: Aaron Gordon (7.8 ppg)

Leading Passer: T.J. McConnell (5.5 apg)

Bad Losses: None

Good Wins: San Diego State, Duke, Michigan

Just take a look at those wins. Duke, Michigan and San Diego State are three of the best teams in the tournament. That should tell you a lot about this Arizona team.

This could finally be the year Sean Miller coaches his team to a national championship. However, as we have seen in years past, basically any team can win the dance. Well, almost any team because I doubt any of the No. 14, No. 15 or No. 16 seeds will pull that off. I could probably throw the No. 13, No. 12 and No. 11 seeds in there as well, but I will be nice.

Regardless, the Wildcats were challenged during their non-confernece schedule and you better believe they were challenged in the Pac-12.

Watch out for Johnson and that one freshman named Aaron Gordon in this tournament.

The Arizona Wildcats are dancing!
