How They Qualified: SEC Tournament Champions

The Florida Gators have made three straight trips to the Elite Eight. This year’s Gators could be even better than all three of those teams. Billy Donovan is proving to be one of the best coaches in college basketball and it would be incredible if he could coach his team to yet another deep run in the dance.

There are four seniors on this team and they all contribute whether it be on defense or offense or both. You better believe these four seniors will be doing everything in their power to get past the Elite Eight this year.

This is one of the most complete teams in college hoops and Florida is going to be a very tough out in the dance.

What You Need to Know:

Leading Scorer: Casey Prather (14.3 ppg)

Leading Rebounder: Dorian Finney-Smith (6.8 rpg)

Leading Passer: Scottie Wilbekin (3.7 apg)

Bad Losses: None

Good Wins: Kansas, Memphis

Casey Prather may be the leading scorer of this team, but four other Gators are averaging nine or more points per game. Florida has everything it needs to win a national championship.

Two big men in Patric Young and Chris Walker. A scorer in Prather. An elite point guard in Scottie Wilbekin. A three-point shooting specialist in Michael Frazier II. And, you also cannot forget about Kasey Hill, Dorian Finney-Smith and Will Yeguete. This team is as well-rounded as it comes and it plays very tough defense.

The Florida Gators are dancing!
