NCAA Tournament 2014: East Region TV Schedule and Matchups
With the 2014 NCAA Tournament now upon us. Selection Sunday results are in and the East Region is now set. Not too many surprises with the No. 1 seed in this region — the Virginia Cavaliers win both the regular season ACC title as well as the conference tournament title.
The No. 2 seed in this region is Villanova while the No. 3 seed and No. 4 seed are both tough as well. The Iowa State Cyclones take the No. 3 seed after winning the Big 12 conference tournament title and the Michigan State Spartans take the No. 4 seed after winning the Big Ten conference tournament.
The first round starts Tuesday, but the second-round matchups are Thursday, March 20, and Friday, March 21. This year’s tournament seems as balanced as any field in recent memory and March could be the maddest it has ever been. Upsets will be aplenty this week and for the rest of the college basketball season, so buckle up and get ready to watch some great basketball.
