Well, that could have been bad. Florida may have won by 12 against Albany, a No. 16 seed, but it sure wasn’t pretty for the overall No. 1 seed in the round of 64 of the 2014 NCAA tournament. Still, the Gators are moving on and their next opponent will be No. 9 seed Pittsburgh.

The Panthers looked great in their win over Colorado, so I am sure many people think they will give the Gators a run for their money. That very well could be the case, but at the end of the day, Florida is the most complete team in college hoops.

What to Watch For

Every single player on Florida. Seriously. Anyone can go off on this team, hence why it is the most complete team. Five players scored in double figures against Albany.

Lamar Patterson and Talib Zanna have to come up big in this round of 32 matchup. If not, then Florida is going to win easily. Patterson is one of the best players in college basketball and the Gators will have their hands full with him. Still, a great performance out of him is not going to be enough.

Prediction

Florida is the overall No. 1 seed in the tournament for a reason. Sure, Pittsburgh is a very talented team and can go on a run, but there are too many players it will have to worry about when it takes on the Gators. Expect Billy Donovan to have his team more than ready and expect Florida to come out with a lot of intensity after its disappointing win against Albany. The Great Danes played a great game, but the Gators are a much more talented team and should have blown Albany out.

Florida 77 Pittsburgh 64
