Clemson Tigers Fans Perform Most Questionable Storming of the Court Ever

The Clemson Tigers are one of the best teams to not have made the NCAA Tournament this season. Finishing the regular season with 20-12 record and 10-8 record in the ACC would have gotten them into the Big Dance had it not been for their low expectations heading into the season. However, they are now heading to the NIT semifinals and looking to win the title of “best of the rest” not in the tourney.

How did Clemson get to the NIT semis? They had to take down a gritty Georgia State team in the first round, a tough Illinois Fighting Illini team in the second round and the Belmont Bruins in the quarterfinals.

The three games have been won by a combined 18 points and it looks like Clemson could be a tough out once the NIT reaches the Big Apple.

Beating Belmont, a team that won the Ohio Valley regular season title, should have been just another win for the Tigers in front of their home crowd. However, the student section and other various fans thought it was a mammoth win — apparently — and performed the most questionable court storming of all time.

Yes, the fans are rushing the court after defeating Belmont, a team that has made just six NCAA Tournament appearances in its history. What were you thinking, Clemson fans?

Even the Clemson players, like star junior K.J. McDaniels, were a bit embarrassed and confused by the actions of their fans.

One Belmont player went as far as to say, “We’re Belmont, man”, showing his confusion to the court storming.

Very, very questionable.
