5 Predictions For No. 1 Arizona vs. No. 2 Wisconsin Matchup

The No. 1 seed Arizona Wildcats will be playing in the Elite Eight. What a surprise. It should also surprise no one that the No. 2 seed Wisconsin Badgers will be Arizona’s opponent. These two teams were the top two seeds in the West Region for a reason -- they are both very, very good.

Well, let’s take a look at five predictions for this Elite Eight matchup.

Nick Johnson was held scoreless for almost the entire game against San Diego State. However, he went off by scoring 15 points down the stretch. No wonder why he is a Naismith finalist. Expect him to start off hot against the Badgers.

Sam Dekker has the talent to be a star. I have said that many times and I am still sticking to it. He has not looked like a star this tournament, but I am still predicting him to have his best game yet. Expect him to score around 15+ points and be the best player on the court for Wisconsin.

Frank Kaminsky Disappoints

Frank Kaminsky scored 19 points against Oregon and he scored 19 points against Baylor. All good things must come to an end. Therefore, Kaminsky will disappoint against Arizona, but Dekker will make up for that.

First Team to 70 Points Wins

Wisconsin has only scored under 70 points once in the 2014 NCAA tournament. Arizona has a very, very good defense, though. The first one to 70 points will win this game. Heck, it may even be the first to 60 points, but I am sticking with 70.

The Badgers only allowed 52 points against a Baylor team that scored 85 against the Creighton Bluejays the contest before. That is impressive. Wisconsin has been one of the best teams in college hoops all season long and although Arizona is the No. 1 seed, the Badgers will advance to the Final Four.
