The Florida Gators may be the overall No. 1 seed, but the No. 7 seed Connecticut Huskies already beat them once this season. In fact, Connecticut handed Florida its last loss. Either team could make the title game and this should be a great watch as a result.

Regardless, let’s take a look at five predictions for this Final Four matchup.

Patric Young Will Have a Good Game

Patric Young is one of the most talented players in this game. He may not always dominate the headlines or lead the Gators in the scoring department, but who knows where Billy Donovan’s team would be without this senior.

Expect Young to have a good game. He dropped 12 points, six rebounds, four blocks and two steals against Dayton. A similar performance could be in store for Florida’s big man.

Florida has an underrated backcourt and fans can expect it to be better than usual against Connecticut. That is because Scottie Wilbekin will continue to lead the Gators in the scoring department and Michael Frazier II will drain some threes.

Shabazz Napier Will Play Good, But Not Amazing

Shabazz Napier has been incredible this tournament. He’s been incredible all season. Expect him to play good, but not amazing. Florida’s defense is arguably the best in the Final Four and so much is expected out of Napier.

The only problem is the fact that Napier probably has to play amazing for the Huskies to win.

Another Player for Connecticut Will Shine

Napier is by far Connecticut’s best player, but another player will shine in this contest. My guess is that it will be Ryan Boatright or DeAndre Daniels, but even a player like Niels Giffey is capable of stepping up.

The Gators are a better team than Connecticut. Yes, the Huskies have Shabazz Napier and already beat Florida once this season, but the Gators have won 30 games in a row and are the overall No. 1 seed.

Their defense is amazing and their offense can be really good at times. Plus, Florida is a very unselfish basketball team, it starts four seniors and we will just stop there.
