Who knows what Jabari Parker will decide to do in terms of staying another year at Duke or bolting for the NBA. There are benefits to both choices, although I am sure the Blue Devils’ star is stressing over his decision quite a bit. Who wouldn’t. Let’s take the stay in school route, though. Let’s take a look at five reasons why Parker staying at Duke would be a good choice.

Parker was awesome this year. After all, he did average 19.1 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game. That is pretty beastly for any player and he was a freshman.

Well, there is always room for improvement and Parker could certainly get more NBA ready by staying another year.

Duke -- as usual -- will have some serious hype entering the 2014-15 college basketball season. The Blue Devils have arguably the best recruiting class coming in, so people can expect a very high ranking in the preseason.

Parker staying or not, Duke could be better than it was this past season. Just imagine how good it would be if Parker stayed. Can anyone say national champions?

Parker’s draft stock is already very high, but one more season at the college level could increase it even more. I am not an NBA scout, but I don’t see why his stock couldn’t raise to No. 1 if Parker had another great year at Duke.

Parker was considered the most talented player since LeBron James. That is pretty crazy if you ask me.

At times, Parker was the best player in the nation this season, so just imagine what a full year of experience under his belt could do for him. I am sure Parker would be a preseason All-American if he returned and I am sure he would be one of the favorites to win the Naismith.

Both would be pretty awesome and are real possibilities for Jabari Parker.

If Parker returns for another year, it would be his choice. We can say how much Parker needs to stay or how much he needs to enter the draft all we want. We don’t have to live with his decision, though. If Parker wants to stay, then so be it. With that said, neither decision is a bad one.
