Although they earned a two-seed in last season's NCAA Tournament, 2014-15 will be Villanova's best shot in recent memory at a very deep run into March Madness. The Wildcats lost James Bell, but return with a great floor general in Ryan Arcidiacono and a deep rotation that should go eight-deep, at least, making the Big East VU's to lose. Here are five must-watch games from the Wildcat's upcoming quest for a Final Four berth.

This classic old Big East rivalry is always an entertaining game, and while Georgetown has been underwhelming in recent seasons, the Hoyas look to be much more competitive in 2014-15. GU features a few talented pieces, including rising junior D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera (17.6 ppg in 2013-14), who should be an all-conference performer. The Hoyas also added three ESPN100-ranked players who could make an impact.

Nova was originally scheduled to play Maryland in this game, but gets rising Big Ten program Illinois instead. The Wildcats will take the MSG stage against a Fighting Illini squad that returns all five starters from last season's team, which showed some real potential in wins over Michigan State, Iowa and Missouri. This game will be a good early season test and potential resume booster for each program.

In the Progressive Legends Classic, the Wildcats will travel to NYC's other basketball-playing borough to take on either Michigan, Oregon or VCU at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. No matter which team Nova is pitted against, they will be in for a solid challenge, as all three should make the NCAA Tournament field, at the very least. Tough non-conference games in November and December are fun for fans and serve as great prep for the players.

2. Villanova vs. St. John's

Villanova and St. John's should be among the Big East's upper echelon in 2014-15, with St. John's in need of a breakout season after showing promise, but ultimately faltering in the past couple years under head coach Steve Lavin. The Red Storm may not enter the season ranked, but could be VU's biggest challenger in the conference with a deep backcourt and variety of highly-rated recruits ready to suit up.

Villanova gets to host Syracuse at the Wells Fargo Center this season, which will serve as the second of a three-game series with the Orange. After dropping a tough 78-62 game to SU last year, the Wildcats will have a major opportunity against one of the country's top programs — something they need to seize if they envision a Final Four run in their near future.
