The college basketball season has gotten off to a hot start and many of the Big 12 teams have also gotten off to a very good start. The Big 12 has seven teams ranked in the AP Top 25 poll and two ranked in the top 10. This year has been great for the Big 12 so far, because all of the teams that are ranked have proven that they can compete with some of the better teams in the country.

Some of the teams to be beaten by Big 12 schools this year include the North Carolina Tar Heels, Arkansas Razorbacks, Michigan State Spartans, Utah Utes, UConn Huskies and Butler Bulldogs. These non-conference wins are huge for the Big 12 Conference, especially since conference play is about to start up in early January.

There is only one undefeated team left in the Big 12 with the TCU Horned Frogs. The Horned Frogs are one of the only teams in the Big 12 to not be tested yet, but that will change once conference play starts up. Since TCU is surprisingly undefeated and the underrated Baylor Bears only have one loss this season, the Big 12 is very crowded at the top of the conference. There are four teams with one loss, the Kansas Jayhawks have two and the Oklahoma Sooners have three defeats.

There is going to be a big battle for the crown of the Big 12, and the winner of the conference may be able to compete with the Kentucky Wildcats and the Duke Blue Devils come March. It is starting to become clear that the Big 12 is the best conference in college basketball.
