The ACC graciously provided Louisville’s Montrezl Harrell with a game to rest before the Cardinals’ crucial clash with the Kentucky Wildcats after suspending him for a thrown punch against Western Kentucky instead of suspending him for an ACC game, Although that's something which should have been looked at by the NCAA, Harrell will not be enough to stop the Wildcats from dominating this matchup. Here are five reasons why UK will blow out UL.

There is no argument that Kentucky boasts a more talented squad than that of Louisville. The Cardinals are talented, yes, but the number of future NBA Draft picks that Louisville possesses is significantly less. Raw talent is just as much of a threat as an all-around talented team, because you never know who is going to put up 20 points on a given night.

4. Defense

Louisville and Kentucky are two of the best defensive teams in the nation. The Cardinals are top 10 in points allowed, blocks, steals and defensive rebounds per game, whereas Kentucky is No. 2 in points allowed and No. 1 in blocks per game. However, Louisville’s offense is not as dynamic as Kentucky’s, meaning that the Wildcats can overcome the Cardinals’ tough defense while the Cardinals will struggle to score all afternoon.

Louisville has a single win over a top 25 opponent this season, the Ohio State Buckeyes, by nine. Kentucky has wins over Kansas, North Carolina and Texas by a combined score of 219 to 161. Throw in their 83-44 win over UCLA and 58-33 win over Providence, and the Wildcats have beaten five teams that received preseason votes to be conference champions.

If Louisville wins this game, the Cardinals will have to still fight hard in every contest during ACC play. The ACC is one of the most talented leagues in college basketball at the top. If Kentucky wins, they could easily coast to an undefeated regular season in an SEC that looks to be bubble team heavy.

I’m convinced that you could split this Kentucky team into two separate squads, place them on opposite sides of the 2015 NCAA Tournament bracket, and seven out of 10 times they would meet in the National Championship.
