Matchup: Colorado Buffaloes  (9-6) vs. Arizona Wildcats (14-2)

The Buffaloes got off to a solid start by winning their first two games in conference play. However, they could only manage 49 points in their last game. With that said, Colorado did take on the Utah Utes in that contest, who are ranked in the top 10.

As for Arizona, it is coming off a loss to the Oregon State Beavers. Although that one was definitely not expected, it was played on the road against a conference opponent for the Wildcats.

So coming into this game, Colorado needs a big win to get the tournament committee’s attention, while Arizona is also looking to bounce back.

What to Watch For

Colorado may have a few players who can put the ball into the hoop at a decent rate, but it still struggles to score overall. Things have to start clicking for this team in a hurry if the Buffaloes plan on dancing. Beating Arizona would be a great start.

There are a bunch of players who can score on this team, as the Wildcats have six players who are averaging eight or more points per game. However, Stanley Johnson is leading the charge with 13.9 PPG.

Prediction

Who knows if Colorado will make the tournament, or if it will just continue to struggle, but it is not going to rebound against Arizona at Arizona. The Wildcats are a top 10 team for a reason, and they will get back into the win column with a victory in this game.

Colorado 62, Arizona 75
