The Atlantic 10 Conference has three teams with 16 wins at this point in the college basketball season, and two of them, the VCU Rams and the George Washington Colonials, will face off on Tuesday, January 27, at 7 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

George Washington would be a ranked team in college basketball if it wasn’t for two surprising losses to the Penn State Nittany Lions and the La Salle Explorers. The Colonials have a marquee win over the Wichita State Shockers as well as several good wins over opponents from major conference opposition. This team is in prime position to make the 2015 NCAA tournament, but would be able to secure a spot with a win at VCU on Tuesday.

The Rams, on the other hand, have no true bad losses, as the Villanova Wildcats, Old Dominion Monarchs and Virginia Cavaliers have been ranked for several weeks this season. VCU does not lose games it is supposed to win, and makes it difficult for opponents to break down the confidence that this team plays with every game.

These are two very good teams with very similar records. However, GW has lost two games to subpar opposition this season, while VCU has dropped none. As much as I want to call the upset in this one due to George Washington’s ridiculously underrated defense, I give this one to the Rams because Shaka Smart and Co. tend not to lose at home.

Prediction: VCU 67, GW 62
