Kris Dunn is one of the most underrated players in the country, and he can lead the Providence Friars to a Big East title this season.

Dunn is leading the team in APG and RPG. He is also second on the team in scoring (14.5 PPG). He has been on a tear in his past four games, averaging 21.5 PPG,  9.5 RPG and 9.o APG.

Dunn was a five-star recruit out of high school, but he had only played in 29 games for the Friars going into the 2014-15 season. Dunn has battled shoulder injuries at the beginning of his college career, but now that is all behind him because he is blossoming into a star.

There is no debate over whether the Friars will make the NCAA tournament. The team has what it takes to make some noise in the first couple rounds of the tournament, especially if Dunn keeps playing at this extremely high level. There are three teams that have a chance of winning the Big East this season. Those teams include Providence, the Villanova Wildcats and the Georgetown Hoyas. Those are the three teams that look like true title contenders, but as of late, the team to beat in the Big East has been the Friars.

Coach Ed Cooley is getting everything he can from all of his starters and role players. He is also getting a lot from Dunn and LaDontae Henton. The Friars have one of the best scorers in the country, along with one of the best floor generals in the country, which is not a bad mix.

Dunn has bounced back from his injuries in amazing fashion and he truly makes the Friars a team to watch out for come March. When Dunn has the ball in his hands, anything can happen for this team.
