The Maryland Terrapins have been one of the biggest surprises so far. They are ranked 17th in the nation and have adjusted well to Big 10 Play. The season isn't over yet, though, so here are five bold predictions for the rest of Maryland's 2014-15 season.

Maryland still has to face the Cornhuskers twice down the stretch this season. Nebraska is right in the middle of the conference with a 5-5 record, and even though will be a decent test, I expect the Terps to sweep them.

Wisconsin is still sitting on top of the Big 10 mountain. They are rolling over teams this season and will be an impossible task for the Terps to handle at the end of month. Look for the Badgers to win this road matchup by at least 10 points.

3. They Will Barely Beat Rutgers

Rutgers gave Maryland a test earlier in the season and the Terps barely escaped with a 73-65 win at home. Look for this side of the title to be much closer since it will be in New Jersey.

The Big 10 is once again stacked with strong teams, which will make the conferene Tournament an absolute battle. Unfortunately, I don't see Maryland making it to the Championship in their first time in the conference.

Turgeon has done the impossible by jumping into one of the best basketball conferences without skipping a beat. They are currently sitting at second in the Big 10 and have handled some of the most prestigious programs in the conference. Turgeon deserves to be the Big 10 Coach of the Year for what he has done in the team's first year away from the ACC.
