The SEC is far more convoluted than many predicted coming into this college basketball season, but if you’ve followed the conference for a while, it was easy to see this coming. Two of the rising teams in the SEC, the Georgia Bulldogs and Texas A&M Aggies face off on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.

Georgia just needs to get at least 20 wins on the season to have a solid chance at a berth in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. With good non-conference wins over the Seton Hall Pirates and Kansas State Wildcats, the Bulldogs still could use a couple more top 50 RPI wins, despite being in the top 25 RPI as it is. Remember, the NCAA selection committee has left out several deserving SEC teams in the past.

Texas A&M, on the other hand, is tied for second place in the SEC. Its lack of resume-boosting non-conference wins is concerning, but its play against the other bubble teams in SEC play has been nothing short of dominant. The Aggies have won three SEC away games; a difficult task in a conference that continues to get better as the season goes along.

This game should belong to the Aggies. Both of these teams should go to the 2015 NCAA Tournament, and both are more than capable of doing some damage. However, Texas A&M should have the advantage over Georgia on its home court behind the scoring of Danuel House and the underrated point guard abilities of Alex Caruso.

Prediction: Texas A&M wins
