Since their blowout loss at the hands of the Georgetown Hoyas, the Villanova Wildcats have strung together four straight wins by double digits, something that is extremely impressive in a Big East conference that is arguably the most difficult in the nation. The Wildcats seemed destined for a top two seed in the 2015 NCAA Tournament, but they cannot afford to slow down at all in conference play with several teams right behind them in the standings.

Next up for Villanova are the Providence Friars, who the Wildcats will face on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.

Providence remains on the outside edge of the 2015 NCAA Tournament bubble after a disappointing loss to the Xavier Musketeers. The Friars have a difficult remaining schedule that includes away games against the Seton Hall Pirates and Villanova, as well as home games against the Butler Bulldogs and Seton Hall. A win against Villanova even at home could mean a monumental shift in their fortunes, because it would all but assure Providence to have a place in the Big Dance.

However, Villanova does not look like they are going to slow things down anytime soon. The Wildcats have been manhandling opponents whether they are on the road or at home, so the Friars’ home-court advantage shouldn’t swing much in the favor of Providence. LaDontae Henton has the ability to put a game on his back offensively and lead the team to victory, which he’ll have to do against this elite Nova defense if they are to stand a chance of pulling off the upset. Unfortunately, it won’t be enough, as Villanova wins this one easily.

Prediction: Villanova 76, Providence 63
