The Ole Miss Rebels visit the Florida Gators on Thursday in an important SEC game for both teams.

Ole Miss is firmly on the NCAA Tournament bubble at this point. Depending on which bracketologist you believe, the Rebels may be in, or they may be out.

What is certain is that Ole Miss is 16-7 on the season, including a 7-3 mark in the conference. Head coach Andy Kennedy has seen his team win five straight games to vault into a tie for second place in the league standings.

The Rebels are lead by their outstanding three-man backcourt. Junior guard Stefan Moody leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game. Senior guard Jarvis Summers posts 13.1 points per contest, while senior guard LaDarius White averages 11.4 points per contest.

After winning the SEC regular season and tournament titles last season, Florida has struggled this season. Billy Donovan and his team are 12-11 this season and an even 5-5 in league play. The Gators gave the top-ranked Kentucky Wildcats all they wanted on Saturday night before falling 68-61 in Gainesville. Florida has now lost two in a row and five of their last seven.

This game is important to Florida to keep its postseason hopes alive. The Gators face a tough schedule down the stretch and cannot afford to lose at home.

Junior guard Michael Frazier II leads Florida in scoring at 13.2 points per game. Junior forward Dorian Finney-Smith averages 12.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

It appears that these two teams are very evenly matched, especially playing in Gainesville. The home court should be enough for Florida to escape in this one.

Final score prediction: Florida 67, Ole Miss 66
