Matchup: Ohio State Buckeyes (19-7) vs. Michigan Wolverines (13-13)

This late in the season, you would think a matchup between the Buckeyes and Wolverines would be pretty meaningful. Other than bragging rights, this game does not have a whole lot on the line. That is because Michigan has disappointed this season. With that said, Ohio State could use this victory to help increase its seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament.

What to Watch For

D’Angelo Russell is amazing. There is really nothing else to say about the matter. Well, here is a little more: He is averaging 19.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game as a freshman.

Not only did Michigan lose a lot of talent over the offseason, but it lost Caris LeVert because of an injury during this season. This year has not been kind to the Wolverines — to say the least. However, maybe current leading scorer Zak Irvin will step up?

Prediction

Michigan enters this contest on a five-game losing streak (yeah, the wheels have finally fell off for this team). The Buckeyes lost their last game, but they also have the world to play for, and probably want to finish strong to close out the regular season.

Ohio State won the first meeting by 19 points and it shouldn’t have any problem winning the second meeting on Sunday.

Look for Russell to put up around 20 points in this contest, and for the Buckeyes to get one step closer to punching their ticket to the Big Dance.

Ohio State 80, Michigan 68
