With the regular season just about over, it is now time to project what the bracket will look like for the NCAA Tournament. Right now, there are 10 teams with legitimate claims at a No. 1 seed. Here are the 10 squads and how they have gotten to this point so far.

At 26-2, the Northern Iowa Panthers are in first place in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Panthers' only losses are to VCU on the road in double overtime and Evansville on the road. If Northern Iowa wins out and defeats Wichita State in both the regular season finale and conference championship game, the Panthers will have a good case for a No. 1 seed if other teams falter.

The Villanova Wildcats are 25-2 at this point and are first in the Big East. The Wildcats' most impressive wins are against VCU and Syracuse, but they have lost to Georgetown and Seton Hall. In order to earn a No. 1 seed, the Wildcats will not only have to win the Big East, but be dominant and hope several teams ahead of them falter.

At 24-4, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are currently ranked second in the ACC behind Virginia. The Fighting Irish have defeated Duke, North Carolina and Michigan State, but they lost to Providence and Virginia. The Fighting Irish will have to win the ACC regular season and conference championship, and they will also have to defeat Duke and Virginia along the way.

At 28-1, the Gonzaga Bulldogs are the No. 3 team in the nation, but their weak schedule will hurt them in March. Gonzaga's best wins came against Georgia and SMU, but their lone loss came to Arizona in overtime. The Zags will have to dominate the rest of the West Coast Conference and hope other teams falter if they want to be a No. 1 seed.

At 22-6, the Kansas Jayhawks are currently ranked first in the Big 12. Kansas has defeated Utah, Iowa State and Oklahoma, but they lost to Temple, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. If the Jayhawks win their 11th consecutive Big 12 Championship, they will be in serious discussions as a No. 1 seed based on their past success.

A Final Four team from a year ago, Wisconsin is looking just as good as last year with a 25-2 record, which ranks first in the Big Ten. The Badgers have wins over Georgetown and Oklahoma, but they lost to Duke at home and Rutgers. If the Badgers sweep the regular season and win the Big Ten Tournament, they will be a No. 1 seed.

The best in the Pac-12, Arizona is currently 24-3. The Wildcats have wins over Gonzaga, Utah and San Diego State, but they lost to UNLV, Oregon State and Arizona State. If the Wildcats sweep the rest of their games, with Stanford, Utah and UCLA on the docket, as well as win the Pac-12 Tournament, Arizona will be a No. 1 seed.

At 25-1, the Virginia Cavaliers are leading the best conference in the country in the ACC. The Cavaliers have defeated Notre Dame, North Carolina and Maryland, but they lost to Duke at home. Virginia will have to have a solid end to their season and defeat Duke in the ACC Tournament to clinch a No. 1 seed.

At 24-3, the Duke Blue Devils are currently second in the ACC, but they have great wins against quality competition. The Blue Devils have defeated Virginia, Notre Dame, North Carolina and Wisconsin, but they lost to North Carolina State and Miami. Duke will earn a No. 1 seed, but they will be the No. 2 overall seed if they win the ACC regular season or ACC Tournament.
