One of the most intriguing teams in the Big 10 coming into conference play, the Iowa Hawkeyes have dropped off significantly since mid-January, losing five of their last 11 games. Iowa just hasn’t been able to replace the scoring production that was Roy Devyn Marble, and it has shown in their close losses.

However, the Hawkeyes are more than likely headed to the 2015 NCAA tournament as long as they can win at least one more game on the season. They will get that opportunity as they face the Indiana Hoosiers in Indiana on Tuesday, Mar. 3 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Indiana has been up and down all season long, but have still surpassed preseason expectations by likely needing just one or two wins over weak conference opponents to make the Big Dance. The Hoosiers get a weak Northwestern Wildcats team to close out the season and should be able to knock off their first Big 10 tournament opponents, but it would still be nice to beat a quality team like Iowa in order to secure a berth.

These two teams are polar opposites when it comes to their strengths. Indiana boasts one of the best offenses in the country, whereas Iowa’s defense has been able to get things done for them all season long.

However, Iowa’s defense won’t be able to contain this Hoosiers’ offense at home and their lack of scoring will hurt them late in the game. Indiana is the more talented team, and that should show in the final score.

Prediction: Indiana 76, Iowa 66
