Nothing is impossible, but the UCLA Bruins are not going to make the 2015 NCAA tournament. We are calling it now. Don't believe us? Well, maybe these five reasons will persuade you.

UCLA is 18-12 overall and 10-7 in the Pac-12. Usually, the 20-win mark is a pretty good benchmark for power conference teams, and the Bruins have no chance of getting there before the start of the Pac-12 tournament. After all, they only have one game remaining in the regular season.

The Bruins' last regular season opponent is the USC Trojans. Side note: USC is at the bottom of the Pac-12 standings. Beating the Trojans would not help UCLA make the dance. However, losing to them would burst the Bruins' bubble.

Although finishing strong down the stretch is crucial, the tournament committee looks at a team's entire body of work. With that in mind, UCLA had a five-game losing streak this season, which definitely doesn't look good on the resume. To the Bruins' credit, three of those games were played against top 10 teams.

None of UCLA's non-conference wins stick out. Probably not the best thing for a team battling for a spot in the NCAA tournament.

If the Pac-12 was one of the best conferences in the country, we could brush many of the things stated before aside. However, Joe Lunardi is only predicting that three Pac-12 teams will make the Big Dance ... and UCLA isn't one of them.

Also, this conference is down and UCLA still only has a 10-7 record in Pac-12 play.
