15 Ugliest Uniforms in the 2015 NCAA Tournament

West Virginia Mountaineers Basketball Uniforms NCAA Tournament — Although my shoes rarely match my belt color, I still realize when something else just doesn’t look right. Now that March Madness is upon us, we get to see a flurry of 68 teams fighting for one championship. We also get to see 68 sets of uniforms -- some nice, some okay, and some just hideous. Here are 15 teams that fail the eye test when it comes to aesthetics.

Albany Great Danes uniforms NCAA Tournament — Are the Albany Great Danes here for the basketball, or here to play Rugby? It’s really hard to tell. This combination of purple and gold is exquisitely nauseating and makes me think that as soon as Albany is eliminated, the Great Danes will get right on filming that after-school basketball special.

The U-N-I lettering just seems to render the casual fan confused. Also, going with the purple and gold makes Northern Iowa artistically ineligible for benefit of the doubt.

Georgia State appears to be playing it safe with this textile embodiment, but compared to the better threads in the field, these unis leave much to be desired.

The merging ‘R’ and ‘D’ is a good touch on the face of the jerseys, but the gold trim does nothing for the overwhelming dark tones of the uniform. When this uniform isn’t ugly, it’s just depressing.
