The field of 64 is now officially set for the 2015 NCAA tournament. The Dayton Flyers managed to knock off the Boise State Broncos in a play-in game. Since it was a play-in, it was only right that the Flyers did it in thrilling fashion. To make a long story short, Dayton finished the contest on a 10-2 run and won by the score of 56-55.

Next up for the Flyers will be sixth-seeded Providence Friars.

The Friars may not be the best team the Big East has to offer, but they do have a couple of players who can lead them on a deep NCAA tournament run.

What to Watch For

Said players are LaDontae Henton and Kris Dunn. Henton is leading the team in scoring at a beastly 19.7 points per game. Dunn isn’t too far behind at 15.8 points per game. He is also averaging 5.6 boards and 7.6 assists per game.

Dayton has players like Jordan Sibert and Kendall Pollard. Sibert is leading the team in scoring, but it is Pollard who led the team against the Broncos with 17 points and six rebounds.

Prediction

Providence may be the No. 6 seed and actually has players taller than 6-foot-6, but it is hard not to root for the Flyers. They made an improbable run to the Elite Eight last year, and seem to be back at it again. They clearly have a long way to go and will be playing a talented Friars squad, but they enter this game with some serious momentum.

It won’t be easy, but Dayton will survive and advance.

Dayton 67, Providence 63
