The No. 1 seeded Villanova Wildcats rolled over the Lafayette Leopards by a score of 93-52. It was a dominating performance expected of a No. 1 seed. Next up, the Wildcats will face the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

NC State pulled off an amazing comeback win over the LSU Tigers, but they will have no time to celebrate their victory. The Wolfpack showed key weaknesses against the Tigers, which they will need to shore up as quickly as possible. Villanova is not the type of team to allow that sort of comeback to happen.

What to Watch For:

NC State is at its best when Cat Barber shows up. He did against the Tigers, and the Pack won because of it. They will not pull off an upset if he does not play well; it’s as simple as that.

Villanova, on the other hand, just have to keep playing their game. Jay Wright is one of the best coaches in the nation, and this team plays like one of the best coached in the nation. Rarely do they make mistakes, and, as long as they keep NC State playing to their tempo and not changing anything, Nova should walk away victorious.

Prediction:

Villanova rolls in this one, and it’s not even close. NC State is a good team, but the Wolfpack have been far too inconsistent this season to knock off the Wildcats. Nova is on the fast track to the Elite Eight, and it will take a very special team to knock them out of the 2015 NCAA tournament.
