The 2015 NCAA tournament has not been short on upsets, and it has not upset us in the thunder department either. We’ve seen soaring slams, brutal flushes and surprising rises to the rim. Here are the 10 best dunks from the tourney as we head into the Sweet 16.

10. North Carolina’s Justin Jackson vs. Harvard

Justin Jackson made the wise decision against this smart school to go straight to the rim and flush it. The exceptional full-court effort provided a Tar Heel exclamation point against Harvard.

9. Notre Dame’s Zach Auguste vs. Northeastern

Demetrius Jackson’s coast-to-coast effort helped Zach Auguste make this list of amazing throw-downs. It’s all about location, location, location.

8. Michigan State’s Branden Dawson vs. Virginia

Just watch how Branden Dawson takes off from the baseline, gathers the pass and then continues to the rim at full force. All of this was effort enough to soak Bill Raftery’s microphone.

7. Gonzaga’s Domantas Sabonis vs. Iowa

Just ignore what Sabonis did with his right arm to watch his left as he flushes this bucket with authority!

6. Arkansas’ Michael Qualls vs. Wofford

This slam was so violent that Qualls had to quickly perform a barrel roll post-dunk to avoid injury.

5. Oregon’s Joseph Young vs. Oklahoma State

Joseph Young went lefty and did so in dominant fashion by staying tall and throwing it down strong.

4. NC State’s Abdul-Malik Abu vs. Villanova

Upset city and thunder town just merged into one metropolis after this vicious slam by Abu.

3. Kentucky’s Willie Cauley-Stein vs. Cincinnati

The look on Quadri Moore’s face is mortifying. The expression was likely elicited by both fear of bodily harm and fear of being posterized.

2. Duke’s Jahlil Okafor vs. San Diego State

This gets a 9.5 on the dunk and an 11 for the celebration. Duke’s big man runs like a gazelle but dunks like a ferocious lion.

1. Wyoming’s Derek Cooke Jr. vs. Northern Iowa

Although a charge was called on the play, Cooke still had one of the best dunks of that day.
