Chasson Randle Is A Stanford Basketball Hero

Senior guard Chasson Randle was up to his old tricks again in the NIT championship as Stanford took on Miami at Madison Square Garden. Randle has hit a plethora of big shots for the Cardinal in his career and tonight would be no different. It should come as no surprise considering he is the school’s all-time leading scorer.

Randle has been a hero at Stanford his entire career. He’s been an impact player since he first walked onto campus as a freshman. Sadly, after tonight, the nation will no longer be able to watch the Rock Island native play in cardinal and white. But Randle wanted to make sure he went out on a high note, and he made sure his last song was one to be remembered.

With under 1:10 to play, Randle has two nice drives that led to layups, putting Stanford up two each time. Time and again, Randle was able to make a play late in regulation and overtime as the Cardinal went on to win 66-64.

With that, Randle’s college basketball career is finished, and it was a decorated one. Randle leaves Stanford as the school’s all-time leading scorer, scoring 2,375 points while winning two NIT Championships with a Sweet 16 appearance in last year’s NCAA tournament.
